Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how to make us delete it.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy covers trysylvie.com, run by Sylvie, a trading name of Firbrook Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us"). Questions or requests about your data go to info@trysylvie.com.

What we collect

  • Order information you give us: name, email, shipping address, phone number if you add one, and what you bought.
  • Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Usage information: device, browser, pages viewed and referring source, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Marketing preferences: if you join our email list, your email address and whether you opened or clicked.

Why we use it

  • To take payment, ship your order, and email you tracking and receipts.
  • To answer your emails and process guarantee refunds.
  • To prevent fraud and chargeback abuse.
  • To measure and improve our advertising, and — only with your consent — to send you marketing email.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the shop: our store platform and payment processors, our fulfilment and shipping carriers, our email provider, and our analytics and advertising partners (including Meta and Google). We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if legally required to.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies for essential shop functions (your cart, your session) and, where you consent, for analytics and advertising measurement. You can refuse non-essential cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, change your choice at any time, and block cookies in your browser settings — essential ones are needed for checkout to work.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe, and support emails for 2 years.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent, or opt out of targeted advertising and the "sharing" of personal information. Email info@trysylvie.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from marketing email with the link at the bottom of any email.

Children

Sylvie is not sold to or intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changes

If we update this policy we’ll change the date above, and we’ll email list subscribers if the change is material.
